Sossy Dikijian

Sossy Dikijian is an independent Art Consultant based out of Dubai, UAE. For over 15 years, Sossy’s work has entailed art advisory and curatorial services for private and public collectors and institutions, patronage and art management as well as art curation, exhibition production, programming and strategic gallery setup and development.

Sossy’s most recent projects include several acquisitions for private institutions and public institutions, as well as a collaborative partnership with Firetti Contemporary, a newly opened gallery in Alserkal Avenue, Dubai.  Sossy was responsible for establishing the gallery’s mission where art and creative concepts align from the region and beyond, encouraging global engagement by creating meaningful and sustainable collections. She was also responsible for the  gallery setup of operations, development, programming, and curation of the gallery’s first year of establishment.

Prior to pursuing her independent art consulting in 2018, Sossy was the former Director of Tabari Artspace, a gallery with an emphasis on Middle Eastern Modern and Contemporary art.  During her 10-year tenure at the gallery, Sossy played an instrumental role in connecting regional MENA artists of modern and contemporary art to an international audience.

She holds a BFA in Studio Arts and Art History as well as a minor in Printmaking from Concordia University. Dikijian believes that art is a crucial and necessary aspect in peoples’ lives.  One of Sossy’s missions is to get more public art in the region, creating awareness and targeting new audiences.

Sossy is also extremely passionate on the importance of promoting art + education, especially in child development, as there are so much benefits in exposing children to art from a very young age.
